TEFL INSTRUCTORS

Delia Arias

Academic Coordinator at Idiomas UCSP; she has more than 15 years of teaching experience and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology and Digital Competence from the International University of La Rioja, Spain. She is certified in English Pedagogy Teacher Training by Cambridge Train the Trainer and in Teaching English as a Foreign Language CELTA, held in the city of Prague, the Czech Republic. She has been granted two scholarships by the University of Oregon and the American Institute of English to study: Introduction to Pedagogy and TESOL Practices and Motivating Students Through Gamification and Other Classroom Activities. She is also an Official Cambridge Speaking Examiner for levels A2 to B1.

Diego Quintanilla

Diego Quintanilla serves as the Director of Studies at ITT, English Team Coordinator at Gustave Eiffel School, and an English Teacher, Teacher Trainer, and International Exams tutor at San Pablo University. With over 12 years of ESL teaching experience, he is also an Official Cambridge Speaking Examiner for levels B1 to C2.

Currently finalizing his Degree in Pedagogy, Diego holds both the Cambridge CELTA Certificate and the Complete Cambridge DELTA Diploma (modules 1, 2, and 3).

He is passionate about leveraging technology in education, particularly advocating for the early, efficient, and responsible use of AI in the ESL classroom to enhance teaching effectiveness and reduce workload.

Diana Lezano

Diana Lezano is a seasoned educator from Arequipa with over 12 years of experience in teaching English. She studied English in Arequipa, Peru, and furthered her education with an ESL course at Northwestern Community College in Connecticut, USA. Diana is certified in Project Based Learning with a focus on environmental topics by the U.S. Embassy. Currently, she serves as the headteacher at a language center, where she is dedicated to integrating technological elements into her classes.

Emilie Walker

Emilie Walker, of both French and British nationality, is a Head Teacher of EFL at the San Pablo University Language Center. She has worked in international institutions throughout Europe, and holds a Master of Arts degree in English and German from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, UK, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Digital Skills from the International University of La Rioja, Spain, specialising in gamification in the classroom. Alongside teaching, Emilie is also a teacher trainer and coordinator of the Undergraduate Bilingualism Project at San Pablo University, and a Cambridge Speaking Examiner for southern Peru, for levels B1 to C2.

José Carlos Álvarez

He is an enthusiastic English Teacher with over 10 years teaching children and adults. He is currently working at San Pablo University Language Center and the Department of Industrial and Environmental Engineering, as well as at the National University of San Agustín Language Center. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain, and has completed Master’s studies in Higher Education at the National University of San Agustín. He has the Cambridge Certificate in English Teaching to Speakers of other languages (CELTA) and took the Cambridge Train the Trainer course. In 2023 and 2024, José Carlos went to the United Kingdom to take advanced methodology courses at the prestigious International House Institute.

Sara Polar Guitton

A passionate English Teacher. With a career spanning three decades of experience teaching English to young learners and university students, she has left an indelible mark on the landscape of language learning, inspiring students alike with her boundless enthusiasm and expertise. English teacher with a TEFL certification, teaching “English to Young Learners” “Intensive English Language Teacher Trainer” and holding some more certifications to improve her performance. Sara’s influence extends far beyond the confines of her classroom. Her dedication to nurturing young minds has left an indelible mark on the educational scenery, inspiring students to embrace the beauty of language. Workshopper at the Fifth Regional Congress of English Teachers UCSP. Currently working at the Language Center at San Pablo University and as English teacher at Vancouver School and Santa Rosa de Lima Kindergarten.

Angela Salazar Barreda

With a rich 18-year tenure in English education, Angela Salazar contributes invaluable expertise to the academic realm at Universidad Catolica San Pablo, Change Language Center, National University of San Agustín Language Center and Conversa by Tecsup. A proponent of personalized learning, her classroom seamlessly blend creativity and technology for dynamic student engagement. Beyond teaching, she leads the English Teachers in Peru community and Entre Maestros Peruanos, offering essential resources and guidance to fellow educators. Committed to continuous professional development, she holds various international certifications, attesting to language proficiency and teaching excellence. A creative pedagogue, she designs tailored educational materials to meet diverse student needs.
